Okay, Okay, ya caught me with my pants down. I lied!

I lied about wanting to help you, just like the Nassau Guardian lied when they told you they'd print your commentary, and instead printed a negative, poorly researched, anti-foreigner article.

I lied... like your lawyer Damez when he said he would represent you ethically.

I lied... like Petard when he said he would look into your complaint.

I lied... like the Attorneys General, Carl Bethel and Alfred Sears, when they said they would investigate your allegations of corruption.

I lied... like the magistrates who told you they would be fair in their courtrooms.

I lied... like the Prime Minister, Perry Christie, when he told you he would resolve the matter.

I lied... just like Perry Christie also did when he said he would correct the constitution to remove discrimination against women.

I lied... because that is all us Bahamians do. We lie, we cheat, we steal - without remorse and without any conscience.

Like when we lied about how we would uphold international copyright laws.

Or like, when we lied about adhering to the anti-money laundering rules we agreed to, way back in the early 90's.

(It took a blacklisting to get us to recant our lies)

Or, how about our lies to the US that we would extradite drug dealers when called upon to legally do so.

Or like when we lied to the FAA about fixing our runways.

We can't help it. We are a nation of disgusting liars and that's the only thing we really do right...
